ISM Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client to recruit for the role of Transport Planner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company where you’ll play a key role in optimising transport operations and ensuring efficient route planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Monitor and adjust transport schedules to meet customer demands and service levels.
Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track fleet movements and optimise efficiency.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
Analyse data and generate reports to improve transport planning strategies.
Resolve transport-related issues promptly to minimise disruptions and delays.
Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and service updates.
Candidate Requirements:
A degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable.
CPC qualification or relevant transport certification is a strong advantage.
Previous experience in a transport planning role within a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
€35,000 – €38,000 per annum
