This course is for professional truck and bus drivers and road haulage and passenger transport managers seeking to make the change over from an analogue tachograph or wishing to update their existing knowledge of digital tachograph equipment. All new commercial trucks since 2006 are required to have a digital tachograph. Drivers must know the procedure to insert their driver card into the digital tachograph unit and manually input their rests, breaks and other periods of availability. Transport managers must know the procedure for downloading data from the driver card and the vehicle unit. Trainees will learn the regulations governing them under EU Drivers’ Hours and understand the basic principles of operating a digital tachograph.

I can't recommend Ger Homan highly enough. Before my first lesson I'd never driven a truck, let alone an 18-tonne MAN rigid. Over just 10 hours of tuition, delivered in relaxed 2-hour sessions, Ger's calm, friendly approach and wealth of knowledge gave me the confidence and skills I needed to pass my Category C test first time.

Just passed my test today and couldn’t recommend Stephen Bowen enough. He was brilliant from start to finish-really patient, always explained things clearly, and took the time to go over anything I struggled with. He went out of his way to help and made every lesson feel relaxed. Super welcoming and easy to get on with. Great instructor!

I trained for the D license with ISM and passed on my second attempt, I would likely have passed first time, however I was a bit nervous on the day of the test. I had quality instruction from qualified and experienced instructors including Chris, Stylianos, Enoch, Joe, George and Victor (thank you) and excellent support from the admin team Lukas and Adam (thank you). ISM is a professionally run operation that prides itself on doing all it can to assist learners to pass there test, in my opinion. I also purchased some B licence lessons for my son, who has said he is enjoying his training also. I would highly recommend this company to anyone for instruction in any of the categories required for the license and vehicle they wish to acquire.

I had an excellent experience preparing for my driving test with Ms. Rofeda. She is highly professional, patient, and incredibly supportive, helping to build confidence behind the wheel from the very beginning. Her teaching style is clear and focused, making it easy to understand and improve with each lesson.

What really stood out was how accurately the lessons reflected the actual driving test. From the routes and manoeuvres to the finer details like observation and positioning, everything was covered thoroughly and matched what I experienced on test day.

Thanks to her guidance, I felt fully prepared and was able to pass my test on the first attempt in Jamestown. I would strongly recommend Ms. Rofeda and her driving school to anyone looking for high-quality, well-structured instruction.

I had a really positive experience with the Irish School of Motoring (ISM). From start to finish, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. I took several lessons with Ms Rofeda to prepare for my test. She prepares you incredibly well for the driving test and knows exactly what examiners are looking for. I just passed my test in Raheny, and I couldn’t have done it without her. She is professional, very sweet, and really helps build your confidence behind the wheel. Highly recommended!
