Telescopic Boom Training

Telescopic Boom (Telehandler) operator training covering both novice and experienced participants.
Delivered over 1 day. Training and certification included.
Cost: €110.00 (includes certification)

Who Should Attend:

Novice and experienced Telescopic Boom operators who require certification or need to update and renew existing certification.
This course includes both Telescopic Boom Training and Harness Awareness Training.
Please note: An increasing number of work locations now require IPAF accreditation only. Please check requirements before booking.

Duration:

9:00am – 4:00pm (1 day)

Location:

ISM Training Centre (Tallaght).
Purpose-built facility with dedicated Telescopic Boom training area.
Unit 6B, Broomhill Business Complex, Broomhill Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24, D24 PNH4

Requirements:

Minimum age 18.
Health declaration required.
Hi-vis vest required.
Closed-toe footwear required (safety boots recommended).
Training language: English.

Trainers:

All trainers are fully qualified and approved to deliver Telescopic Boom and harness safety training.

Certification:

ISM Telescopic Boom Operator Certificate of Training
(Harness Awareness certification included)

I had the pleasure to meet Ciaran Corcoran and passed my category B manual car driving test with his guidance. Ciaran is a great instructor, and he is always gentle, patient, and encouraging. He avoids being critical and always gives feedback in a constructive and positive way. Most of the people around me passed their test in an automatic car, and when I told Ciaran I was thinking about switching after failing multiple times, he encouraged me to stick with manual. He’s very knowledgeable and taught me a lot of advanced driving techniques, such as predicting when the blue bus lane becomes active and anticipating when traffic lights are about to turn green. These aren’t things you need to pass the driving test, but they’re valuable skills for safe driving throughout your life.

I can't recommend Ger Homan highly enough. Before my first lesson I'd never driven a truck, let alone an 18-tonne MAN rigid. Over just 10 hours of tuition, delivered in relaxed 2-hour sessions, Ger's calm, friendly approach and wealth of knowledge gave me the confidence and skills I needed to pass my Category C test first time.

Nothing ever felt rushed or stressful. Ger has a great way of explaining things, putting you at ease, and building your confidence lesson by lesson. ISM are very lucky to have an instructor of his calibre. Thanks, Ger!

Just passed my test today and couldn’t recommend Stephen Bowen enough. He was brilliant from start to finish-really patient, always explained things clearly, and took the time to go over anything I struggled with. He went out of his way to help and made every lesson feel relaxed. Super welcoming and easy to get on with. Great instructor!
