Fire Warden (Marshal) Training
This course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to carry out the duties of a Fire Warden/Fire Marshal, including fire prevention, hazard identification, safe evacuation procedures, and the correct use of fire‑fighting equipment.
Training duration: 4–5 hours.
Can also be delivered on your premises if required.

Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Participants must be able to take part in practical demonstrations
- Training language: English
- Any special needs or requirements should be identified at the time of booking
Course Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- List their duties as Fire Wardens
- Describe the chemistry of fire
- Identify workplace fire hazards
- Assist in managing evacuation procedures and drills
- Select and use appropriate fire‑fighting equipment to deal with an undeveloped fire
Course Content
- Mechanics of fire, smoke, and hazardous gases
- Fire extinguishers, hose reel equipment, and fire suppressants
- Incidents involving flammable liquids and gases
- Safe storage of flammable liquids and gases
- Common fire safety features
- Elements of compartmentation
- Means of escape
- Duties of the Fire Marshal in emergency, pre‑emergency, and post‑emergency situations
- Hazard spotting and eliminating poor practices
- Fire safety legislation
- Methods of evacuation
Trainers
All instructors are fully qualified safety trainers and certified Fire Safety practitioners.
Assessment
- Theory test
- Practical demonstration in the safe selection and use of fire extinguishers
Certification
Fire Warden (Marshal) Training Course Certificate issued upon successful completion.
Validity
Refresher training is recommended every 3 years.
